Just Got Back From the Doctors. By Alvie N Leeper As the title says I just got back from the Doctors. T.G. it was a good visit. Got the results of my Ultra Sound and Doc says that I have a little calcification on 2 of my heart valves and my heart is pumping at 50% which is right normal. Not bad for 83. In the past two months I have had tests for Heart attack,High Blood Pressure,and several attending screneriors. It is amazing how you are concerned and worried and suddenly a silver lining comes up to change everything . It is as if there was a great big program set up and you fall with in it and life unfolds in a pattern ,sometimes good ,some times bad. I do however worry about my wife. She had a Pace Maker installed,(Sounds funny but true,) and we anticipated fantastic results. No more out of breath, no more dizzyness, no more tiredness but they seem to still be hampering her a slight bit.Perhaps we were expecting too much. I guess that when your ticker starts acting up you are suddenly thrust into another world that is unfamiliar. Too say it is scary is to put it mildly. It is an unknown that invades your life and you have to rush to catch up ,not only in knowledge but attitude and resourcefullness. I feel we must be blessed because we have taken so much longer to start getting these afflictions.Another member of my family has had shunts and etc and he is twelve years younger than I. Perhaps there is something to the old adage that those who have suffered poverty or extremely hard times seem to survive better. I don't know. alvien
